The issue

On certain vehicles, the accelerator cable casing cap that is attached to the firewall can crack due to extended exposure to forces from the accelerator cable and insufficient long-term durability of the plastic casing cap. If the casing cap becomes cracked, movement of the inner accelerator cable through the cap can cause the inner accelerator cable to become frayed. If the inner accelerator cable becomes frayed, it can stick during vehicle operation. Correction: Dealer will replace the accelerator cable assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, le dispositif de montagne du câble d'accélérateur qui est attaché à la cloison pare-feu pourrait se fendiller à cause d'une exposition prolongée à des tensions exercées par le câble de l'accélérateur et d'une durabilité à long terme insuffisante du dispositif de montage en plastique. Si le dispositif de montage se fendillait, le déplacement du câble d'accélérateur interne à travers le dispositif pourrait provoquer l'usure du câble interne. Si le câble d'accélérateur interne s'usait, il pourrait coincer pendant que le véhicule est en marche. Correction : Le concessionnaire devra remplacer le câble d'accélérateur et les pièces qui s'y rattachent.
