The issue
On certain vehicles, the ground connection between the spiral ring of the fuel tank filler neck and the connecting pipe to the tank is not sound. If this ground connection is inadequate, the flow of fuel when refuelling can create and electrostatic charge and a spark which could ignite fuel vapours. Correction: Dealer will inspect the ground connection and, if necessary, correct it.

Sur certains véhicules, la mise à la masse qui se trouve entre l'anneau en spirale du goulot de remplissage du réservoir d'essence et le tuyau raccordé au réservoir manque de solidité; l'écoulement du carburant lors du remplissage du réservoir pourrait donc créer une charge électrostatique et une étincelle qui pourrait enflammer les vapeurs d'essence. Correction : Le concessionnaire devra inspecter la mise à la masse et, s'il y a lieu, la corriger.
