The issue

On certain fifth wheel travel trailers, a deficiency in the structural integrity of the main frame rails could cause the frame rails to crack, allowing the axles to separate. Axle shifting could cause the fifth wheel to pull erratically, which could cause the driver of the tow vehicle to loose control and create the potential for an crash resulting in personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install gusset plates and cross tubes to strengthen the axle spring hangers.

Sur certaines roulottes à sellette, un défaut dans l'intégrité de la structure des longerons de cadre de châssis principaux pourrait provoquer le fendillement des longerons, ce qui permettrait aux essieux de se détacher. Si un tel détachement se produisait, la roulotte à sellette serait tirer de façon erratique, ce qui pourrait en faire perdre le contrôle au conducteur, causer un accident et engendrer des blessures. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser des goussets et des traverses tubulaires afin de renforcer les mains de ressort des essieux.
