The issue
On certain school and commercial minibuses built on Ford E350 & E450 chassis with the optional BBX battery box, the battery fusible link was omitted during assembly. Without the protection of a fusible link, in the event of an electrical short, the positive battery cable could overheat and fail. If the battery cable fails, an electrical short could result in an underhood fire. Correction: Dealers will install a fusible link.

Sur certains minibus scolaires ou commerciaux construits sur un châssis de Ford E350 ou E450 et équipés de la boîte de batterie BBX offerte en option, on a oublié de poser le fil fusible de batterie. Sans la protection qu'offre le fil fusible, la gaine isolante du câble positif de batterie pourrait griller à cause d'une surchauffe en cas de court circuit. Si le câble de batterie grillait, un court circuit pourrait provoquer un incendie sous le capot. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un fil fusible.
