The issue

On certain vehicles, the speed control deactivation switch may overheat, smoke, or burn, potentially resulting in an underhood fire. The condition may occur either when the vehicle is parked or when it is in operation. Correction: Initially as an interim repair, owners will be instructed to return their vehicles to their dealers to have the speed control deactivation switch disconnected. As soon as replacement parts are available, owners will be instructed to return to the dealers for installation of a new switch or fused wiring harness.

Sur certains véhicules, l'interrupteur de désactivation du régulateur de vitesse pourrait surchauffer, dégager de la fumée ou brûler, ce qui pourrait provoquer un incendie sous le capot. Un tel problème pourrait se produire que le véhicule soit stationné ou en mouvement. Correction : On devra demander aux propriétaires de se rendre chez leur concessionnaire avec leur véhicule afin que l'interrupteur de désactivation du régulateur de vitesse soit débranché. Dès que les pièces de rechange seront disponibles, les propriétaires devront retourner chez le concessionnaire avec leur véhicule pour faire poser un nouvel interrupteur ou un faisceau de fils avec fusible.
