The issue

On certain Mustang SVT Cobra vehicles, the accelerator pedal may come into contact with floor carpeting during heavy throttle application. Interference from the floor carpeting may prevent the accelerator pedal from returning to the idle position when released. Unexpected continued throttle application and/or increased stopping distances could result in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will install a bracket over the cut-out in the carpet behind the accelerator pedal.

Sur certains Mustang SVT Cobra, l'accélérateur pourrait toucher au tapis du plancher lorsque le conducteur accélère fortement. Une interférence du tapis du plancher pourrait empêcher l'accélérateur de retourner en position de ralenti. Un accélérateur coincé pourrait causer un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un support par dessus la fente dans le tapis derrière l'accélérateur.
