The issue
On certain Saab 9-3 convertible and 9-3 Viggen vehicles, the fuel pump retaining tabs holding the fuel lines were damaged during production. Over time, this could cause the fuel lines to loosen from the pump resulting in fuel leakage. If an ignition source were present, the fuel may ignite resulting in a vehicle fire. Correction: Dealers will install a bracket that will secure the fuel lines to the fuel pump even if the plastic retaining tabs should break.

Sur certains Saab 9-3 décapotable et 9-3 Viggen, les languettes de retenue de la pompe à carburant qui soutiennent les canalisations de carburant ont été endommagées pendant la production. À la longue, ce problème pourrait provoquer le desserrement des canalisations de carburant au niveau de la pompe, ce qui provoquerait une fuite de carburant. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, le carburant pourrait s'enflammer, ce qui provoquerait un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un support qui fixera solidement les canalisations de carburant sur la pompe à carburant afin qu'elles ne s'en détachent pas même si les languettes de retenue en plastique se brisaient.
