The issue

On certain vehicles, the fuel pump may seize, which would stop fuel flow to the engine and cause it to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, la pompe à carburant pourrait se gripper, ce qui ferait en sorte que le carburant cesserait de se rendre au moteur, ce qui ferait caler le moteur. Le calage du moteur provoquerait une perte de propulsion qui, conjointement à la densité de la circultion, à l'état de la route et aux réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer la pompe à carburant.
