The issue

On certain vehicles, the high pressure fuel line from the pump could fail. Failure of the line introduces atomized fuel into the engine compartment which could contact hot surfaces and ignite. A support bracket was developed by Cummins to alleviate the vibration on the line. Correction: Owner notification including repair instructions will be supplied. Fleet customers are to install support bracket to alleviate vibrations on the fuel line.

Sur certains véhicules, il se peut que la canalisation de carburant haute pression de la pompe haute pression fasse défaut et que du carburant atomisé emplisse le compartiment moteur. Si du carburant atomisé se répandait dans le compartiment moteur, il pourrait entrer en contact avec des surfaces chaudes et s'enflammer. Correction : Un avis de défaut et bulletin de service contenant une description des étapes à suivre pour corriger le problème sera fourni aux propriétaires. Ceux-ci devront devront poser un support sur les canalisations de carburant visées afin de diminuer les vibrations qui s'exercent sur la canalisation.
