The issue

On certain vehicles, inadequate hood cylinder dampening may allow the hood to be opened with too much force. Once the cylinders reach full extension, this lack of dampening could cause them to separate from the hood, allowing the hood to keep tilting forward, possibly injuring its operator or a bystander. Correction: Dealers will replace the hood restraint cylinders.

Sur certains véhicules, un amortissement inadéquat des vérins du capot pourrait permettre d'ouvrir le capot avec une trop grande force. Lorsque les vérins atteignent leur niveau d'allongement maximal, ce manque d'amortissement pourrait faire en sorte qu'ils se détachent du capot, ce qui permettrait au capot de continuer à s'incliner vers l'avant, et blesserait possiblement son utilisateur ou une personne située à proximité. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les vérins de retenue du capot.
