The issue

On certain trucks, the hood travel limiting shock bracket may fail. Should the shock separate while the hood is being opened, it would allow the hood to keep tilting forward, possibly injuring its operator or a bystander. Correction: Dealers will replace the hood travel limiting shock connection pin and retention system with an updated version.

Sur certains camions, le support d'amortisseur de limitation de la course du capot pourrait faire défaut. Si l'amortisseur se détachait pendant qu'on ouvre le capot, cela permettrait au capot de continuer à s'incliner vers l'avant, ce qui pourrait blesser l'utilisateur ou une personne située à proximité. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le système de retenue et la tige de raccord d'amortisseur de limitation de la course du capot par des éléments d'une version à jour.
