The issue

On certain vehicles, the speed control deactivation switch may overheat, smoke, or burn, potentially resulting in an underhood fire. The condition may occur either when the vehicle is parked or when it is in operation. Correction: Dealers will install a new switch or fused wiring harness. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2005028 (05S28) for vehicles not previously included in the campaign.

Sur certains véhicules, l'interrupteur de désactivation du régulateur de vitesse pourrait surchauffer, dégager de la fumée ou brûler, ce qui pourrait provoquer un incendie sous le capot. Un tel problème pourrait se produire lorsque le véhicule est arrêté ou en marche. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un nouvel interrupteur ou un nouveau faisceau de fils avec fusible. Note : Ce rappel est un prolongement du rappel 2005028 (05S28).
