The issue

On certain vehicles, if the Toyota optional accessory "tray-type" floor mat is not secured by the retaining hooks, or if it is placed on top of an existing floor mat, the "tray-type" floor mat could move forward and interfere with the accelerator pedal. This could result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: The manufacturer will notify owners to remove the "tray-type" floor mat and provide instructions on how to obtain a reimbursement.

Sur certains véhicules, si le tapis protecteur « de type plateau » vendu par Toyota comme accessoire optionnel n'est pas fixé par les crochets de retenue ou si celui-ci est placé par-dessus un tapis de plancher existant, le tapis protecteur « de type plateau » pourrait se déplacer vers l'avant et nuire à la pédale d'accélérateur. Une telle situation pourrait provoquer une collision du véhicule et causer des dommages matériels, des blessures ou entraîner des pertes de vies. Correction : Le fabricant avisera les propriétaires d’enlever le tapis protecteur « de type plateau » et fournira des directives indiquant comment obtenir un remboursement.
