The issue
On certain vehicles maneuvered with certain combinations of wheel turn, articulation and bump, the brake chamber can contact the rear hood support. The contact can damage the brake chamber leading to a loss of braking function at the affected wheel end. This could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace or modify the rear hood support with a larger cutout. Brake chambers will be inspected for damage, and replaced if any exists.

Sur certains véhicules, dans certaines combinaisons de virages, d'articulations et de cahots, le récepteur de freinage pourrait entrer en contact avec le support arrière du capot, ce qui pourrait endommager le récepteur de freinage et provoquer une perte des freins de la roue visée. Cette situation pourrait causer un accident, endommager des biens matériels, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vies. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le support de capot arrière; sinon, ils devront le modifier en agrandissant l’ouverture. Les récepteurs de freinage devront être inspectés pour voir s’ils sont endommagés; si c’est le cas, ils devront être remplacés.
