The issue

On certain travel trailers, the hitch couplers may be lacking an indentation on the forward edge of the coupler. If the coupler is lacking the indent, it will lead to an increased risk of trailer separation from the hitch ball while towing. A towed unit separating from the towing vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Owners will be advised to inspect the hitch coupler for the correct stamping. If the hitch coupler is not formed correctly Keystone RV will make arrangements to replace it. *** IMPORTANT - DO NOT tow the trailer until it is confirmed you have a correctly formed coupler ***

Sur certaines caravanes classiques, les dispositifs de raccordement de l'attelage pourraient ne pas avoir de renfoncement sur leur bord avant. Dans un tel cas, le risque que la remorque se détache de la boule d'attelage pendant le remorquage augmenterait. Une caravane qui se détacherait du véhicule qui la remorque pourrait aller percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui endommagerait des biens matériels ou blesserait quelqu'un. Correction : Les propriétaires seront avisés d'inspecter le dispositif de raccordement de l'attelage afin de vérifier s'il comporte le bon renfoncement. Si le dispositif de raccordement de l'attelage n'était pas formé correctement, Keystone RV devra prendre les dispositions nécessaires afin de le remplacer. *** IMPORTANT – NE REMORQUEZ PAS la caravane avant d'avoir la confirmation que votre dispositif de raccordement est bien formé. ***
