The issue
On certain motorcycles, the electronic steering lock may fail to disengage, which could allow the rider to start the engine and attempt to ride the motorcycle with the steering still locked. The resulting inability to steer could increase the risk of low speed tip-over or a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the software in the Hands Free Control Unit.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le dispositif de verrouillage électronique de la direction pourrait ne pas se désenclencher, ce qui pourrait permettre au conducteur de démarrer le moteur et tenter de piloter la motocyclette avec la direction encore verrouillée. L'incapacité résultante à virer pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident ou de chute à basse vitesse, ce qui pourrait endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront mettre à jour le logiciel dans l'unité de commande mains libres.
