The issue

On certain motorcycles, the side-stand support tube may have an improper weld in the area that joins the support tube to the forged upper part of the side-stand. This could result in the side-stand breaking at that weld, which could cause the motorcycle to fall over, increasing the risk of injury to the rider and/or passenger. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the side-stand support tube with a new part.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le tube-support de la béquille pourrait comporter une soudure faible à la jonction entre le tube-support et la partie supérieure forgée de la béquille. La béquille pourrait céder au niveau de la soudure, faire tomber la motocyclette et augmenter les risques de blessure pour le conducteur et/ou le passager. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le tube-support de la béquille par une nouvelle pièce.
