The issue
On certain motorcycles, the main wiring harness can contact a bolt and a rivet located in the tail section of the vehicle. The resultant chafe damage could, over time, create an electrical short circuit, which may cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace, and reposition the main wiring harness.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le faisceau de câbles principal pourrait entrer en contact avec un boulon et un rivet situés à l'arrière du véhicule. Les dommages par frottement qui en résultent pourraient, à la longue, produire un court-circuit qui pourrait faire caler le moteur. Si le moteur calait, cela entraînerait une perte de propulsion du véhicule qui, conjointement à la densité de la circulation, à l'état de la route et aux réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident et endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, si nécessaire, réparer ou remplacer et repositionner le faisceau de câbles principal.
