The issue

On certain motorcycles, the voltage regulator can overheat, causing uncontrolled current output which can provide insufficient charge to the battery. This can cause engine stalling and/or an inability to start the engine. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the voltage regulator.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le régulateur de tension pourrait surchauffer, ce qui produirait un courant débité incontrôlé qui pourrait charger insuffisamment la batterie. Cela pourrait faire caler le moteur ou l'empêcher de démarrer. Si le moteur calait, cela entraînerait une perte de propulsion du véhicule qui, en conjonction avec la densité de la circulation, l'état de la chaussée et les réactions du pilote, pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le régulateur de tension.
