The issue

On certain vehicles, the turbocharger turbine wheel may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail. Turbine wheel failure would result in a noticeable decrease in vehicle performance. Continued vehicle operation could cause the turbine shaft to also fracture. If the fractured shaft moves out of a bearing, oil may be drawn into the exhaust system, which could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the turbocharger assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, la turbine du turbocompresseur pourrait avoir été mal fabriquée et faire défaut. La défaillance de la turbine entraînerait une diminution notable du rendement du véhicule. Si on continuait à utiliser le véhicule malgré tout, cela pourrait casser l'arbre de la turbine. Si l'arbre cassé sortait d'un roulement, de l'huile pourrait être entraînée dans le circuit d'échappement, ce qui pourrait provoquer un incendie endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le turbocompresseur.
