The issue

On certain vehicles, corrosion and/or dust accumulation may impair the function of the driver and passenger door latches and cause the latch pawl to stick. If this occurs, the door will not latch when shut and will remain unsecured. A vehicle operated in this condition would present a higher risk of personal injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the door latches with a modified version.

Sur certains véhicules, de la corrosion ou une accumulation de poussière pourrait nuire au fonctionnement des loquets de portière et coincer la gâchette du loquet. Si cela se produisait, la portière ne se verrouillerait pas lorsque fermée et demeurerait non fixée. Un véhicule utilisé dans cet état risquerait davantage de blesser quelqu'un ou d'endommager des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les loquets de portière par des loquets d'une version modifiée.
