The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins EPA 2010 ISL engines, insufficient shielding is installed between the exhaust pipe and the floor. If the exhaust pipe were to fail, the escaping gases could make the floor area above the engine extremely hot, increasing the risk of personal injury or possibly resulting in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a heat shield.

Sur certains véhicules équipés de moteurs Cummins EPA 2010 ISL, le blindage installé entre le tuyau d'échappement et le plancher n’est pas suffisant. Si le tuyau d'échappement devait faire défaut, les gaz d'échappement pourraient rendre le plancher au-dessus du moteur extrêmement chaud, augmentant le risque de blessure ou causant possiblement un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un écran thermique.
