The issue

On certain motorhomes, the bracket which secures the power steering gear to the chassis may develop cracks. This could allow the steering gear to partially detach from the chassis, which could result in a loss of steering control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Since Fleetwood Enterprises Inc (the manufacturer of these vehicles) is no longer in business, Spartan Motor Chassis, Inc. is supplying vehicle owners with this courtesy notice. Owners are advised to contact Spartan at 800-393-8861, to locate an authorized repair facility. The remedy consists of inspecting and, as necessary, replacing the steering gear mounting bracket, or installing a support bracket.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, le support qui fixe le boîtier de direction au châssis pourrait se fissurer. Cela pourrait permettre au boîtier de direction de se détacher partiellement du châssis, ce qui pourrait causer une perte de contrôle de la direction et un accident endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Puisque Fleetwood Enterprises Inc (le fabricant de ces véhicules) n'est plus en affaires, Spartan Motor Chassis, Inc. fournit aux propriétaires d'un véhicule cet avis de courtoisie. On avise les propriétaires de contacter Spartan au 1-800-393-8861 pour localiser un réparateur autorisé.
