The issue

On certain vehicles, if the air conditioning condenser drain hose were to become clogged, water could accumulate and leak onto the airbag control module. This could cause the airbag warning light to illuminate, and potentially result in an unintended deployment of the airbags. This could startle the driver and/or cause minor injuries to vehicle occupants. Water damage could also cause a loss of power steering assist, causing the vehicle to revert to a manual steering mode which would require greater driver effort, especially at low vehicle speeds, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a protective shield and sealant.

Sur certains véhicules, si la canalisation de drainage du condensateur du climatiseur se bouchait, de l'eau pourrait s'accumuler et s'écouler sur le module de commande des coussins gonflables. Cela pourrait allumer le voyant d'avertissement des coussins gonflables et causer le déploiement accidentel de ceux-ci. Cela pourrait surprendre le conducteur ou blesser légèrement les occupants du véhicule. Des dommages par l'eau pourraient aussi causer une perte de l'assistance de la direction, ce qui ferait en sorte que le véhicule reviendrait en mode de direction manuel; dans ce mode, il serait plus difficile pour le conducteur de diriger son véhicule, en particulier à basse vitesse, et les risques d'accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels augmenteraient. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un scellant et un bouclier de protection.
