Recall 2014008

The issue

On certain model motorcycles, the throttle butterfly valve can deviate from its intended position. This could result in engine stalling which, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the engine control unit with one having the latest software and calibration.

Sur certains modèles de motocyclettes, le papillon des gaz pourrait dévier de la position dans laquelle il doit être. Cela pourrait causer un calage du moteur qui, en conjonction avec la densité de la circulation, l'état de la route et les réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'unité de commande du moteur par une unité dotée du dernier étalonnage et du dernier logiciel.
