The issue

On certain vehicles, a defect may allow the ignition key to be removed from the ignition switch when the key is not in the "Off" position. This could result in unintended vehicle movement if the transmission is not in the "park" position (automatic transmission) or not in the reverse gear with the parking brake engaged (manual transmission), and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the ignition lock cylinder and/or ignition key.

Dans certains véhicules, un défaut pourrait permettre de retirer la clé du contact lorsque la clé n'est pas en position « Off ». Ceci pourrait produire le déplacement inattendu du véhicule si la boîte de vitesses automatique n'est pas en position « Park » ou si la boîte de vitesses manuelle n'est pas en marche arrière avec frein de stationnement engagé, et causer un accident avec dommages matériels et/ou blessures Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le barillet de l'interrupteur d'allumage et/ou la clé de contact.
