The issue

On certain vehicles, housing bolts for the variable camshaft timing system could break, allowing camshaft timing to deviate. If this occurs, the engine would revert to "limp home mode", limiting available engine power. This could increase the risk of a collision causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace affected bolts.

Dans certains véhicules, les boulons du carter pour le système de distribution variable de l’arbre à cames pourraient se briser, ce qui ferait dévier la distribution variable de l’arbre à cames. Dans un tel cas, le moteur passerait au mode « limp home » (rentrer à pas de tortue), limitant la puissance moteur disponible. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les boulons visés.
