Recall 2015491

The issue

Certain vehicles serviced as part of recall 2014-093 or which had the Occupant Classification System (OCS) module replaced during servicing may have been fitted with an incorrect replacement OCS module. An incorrect OCS module would impair the effectiveness of the OCS, potentially failing to properly classify an adult passenger seated in the front passenger seat. This could increase the risk of injury to the occupant in a crash. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the OCS module.

Certains véhicules qui ont subi un entretien dans le cadre du rappel 2014-093 ou dont le module de système de classification de l'occupant a été remplacé au cours d'un entretien pourraient comprendre un module de système de classification de l'occupant de remplacement incorrect. Un tel module incorrect nuirait à l'efficacité du système de classification de l'occupant, qui pourrait ne pas classifier adéquatement un passager adulte assis sur le siège passager avant. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures pour l'occupant en cas d'accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le module de système de classification de l'occupant.
