The issue

On certain vehicles, the nut and bolt holding the strut assembly to the knuckle may not have been tightened properly during the manufacturing process. Over time, this could cause the strut assembly to separate from the knuckle, resulting in a loss of steering control which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will inspect and replace the nut and bolt holding the strut assembly to the knuckle if found loose.

Sur certains véhicules, l'écrou et le boulon qui retiennent la jambe de force sur l'articulation pourraient ne pas avoir été bien serrés lors de la construction. Au fil du temps, la jambe de force pourrait se séparer de l'articulation, ce qui causerait une perte de contrôle de la direction qui augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'écrou et le boulon qui retiennent la jambe de force sur l'articulation, ainsi que les remplacer s'ils sont desserrés.
