The issue

On certain vehicles, rear door child safety locks could disengage due to external vehicle vibration (such as when closing a door). This would render it possible for a child to unintentionally open a door, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the child locks. Note: This recall affects Golf R models only.

Dans certains véhicules, les verrous de sécurité pour enfants des portières arrière pourraient se désenclencher en raison de vibrations externes du véhicule (comme la fermeture d'une portière). Un enfant serait alors en mesure d'ouvrir une portière de manière involontaire, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer les verrous de sécurité pour enfants. Remarque : Le présent rappel touche seulement les modèles Golf R.
