The issue
On certain F-TYPE SVR specification vehicles, the rear lower control arm knuckle assembly deformable bolt may have been torqued multiple times during the time of assembly contrary to the specification. This could cause the anti-corrosion coating to come off, exposing bare metal to the environment, resulting in premature fatigue failure causing separation of the joint. A separating control arm knuckle assembly could affect vehicle handling and stability increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace any over torqued deformable bolt.

Dans certains véhicules F-TYPE SVR, le boulon déformable du joint articulé du bras oscillant transversal inférieur arrière pourrait avoir été serré à plusieurs reprises lors de l'assemblage, ce qui va à l'encontre de la spécification. Par conséquent, l'enduit anticorrosion pourrait être retiré, ce qui exposerait le métal nu à l'environnement et causerait une rupture par fatigue prématurée provoquant le détachement du joint. Le détachement du joint articulé du bras oscillant transversal pourrait nuire au comportement et à la stabilité du véhicule, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les véhicules touchés, ainsi que remplacer tout boulon déformable trop serré.
