The issue

Certain vehicles may experience intermittent operation of the crankshaft or camshaft sensor. Intermittent operation of the crankshaft or camshaft sensor may result in illumination of a malfunction indicator lamp (“MIL”), the vehicle not starting or the engine stalling while driving, causing a loss of motive power which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the crankshaft and camshaft connector.

Le capteur de l'arbre à cames ou du vilebrequin pourrait fonctionner de manière intermittente sur certains véhicules, ce qui pourrait faire allumer le voyant d'anomalie ("MIL"), empêcher le moteur de démarrer ou faire caller le moteur en cours de route. Cela pourrait faire perdre de la puissance, ce qui augmenterait les risques de collision causant des blessures et/ou des dommages aux biens. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent remplacer le connecteur du capteur de l’arbre à cames et/ou celui du vilebrequin.
