The issue
On certain motorcycles, the software of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) which controls the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) may be incorrect. If a braking event were to trigger the ABS, the motorcycle may not brake as intended, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will either reprogram the HCU with the correct software or replace it.

Dans certaines motocyclettes, le logiciel du module de commande hydraulique qui contrôle le système de freinage antiblocage (ABS) pourrait être incorrect. Si un freinage actionne le système ABS, la motocyclette pourrait ne pas freiner comme prévu, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le module de commande hydraulique à l'aide du bon logiciel, ou le remplacer.
