The issue
On certain vehicles, the driver's side interior door handle may have been built with a misoriented return spring, which could increase the potential for the spring to become unseated. If the return spring were to unseat, the driver door may unlatch if subjected to a significant load during a crash, which could increase the risk of injury to the driver seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver’s side interior door handle for a missing or incorrectly oriented return spring and repair as necessary.

La poignée intérieure latérale du conducteur de certains véhicules pourrait avoir été dotée d'un ressort de rappel mal orienté, ce qui pourrait faire en sorte qu'il se déloge. Si le ressort de retour se déloge, la portière du conducteur pourrait se déverrouiller lors d'une collision avec impact important, et pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures au conducteur. Mesures correctives : Les concessionnaires doivent inspecter la poignée intérieure du conducteur pour déterminer si le ressort de rappel est manquant ou s'il est mal orienté, et réparer le cas échéant.
