The issue
On certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner XCR chassis, a battery cable mounting bracket may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the battery cable may be improperly routed and/or clipped, potentially causing the cable to short against the frame rail, which could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will inspect the mounting of the battery cable bracket, and repair as necessary.

Sur certaines autocaravanes construites sur un châssis Freightliner XCR, un support de fixation du câble de batterie pourrait avoir été mal installé. Le câble de batterie pourrait être mal acheminé ou fixé et il pourrait frotter contre le cadre du châssis et causer un court-circuit, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques d'incendie pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les installations d'entretien autorisées de Daimler Trucks North America devront inspecter le câble de batterie pour voir s'il est bien fixé, et effectuer une réparation au besoin.
