The issue

On certain vehicles, the front axle sway bar link may come loose and detach from the frame rail. If the sway bar link were to detach, it could become lodged between the drag link and the front shock absorber, potentially binding the steering system, which could affect steering control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the upper sway bar link attachment for the presence of the hardened washer between the bushing and the nut and install the washer if not present.

Dans certains véhicules, la biellette de barre stabilisatrice de l'essieu avant pourrait devenir lâche et se séparer du longeron de cadre. Si la biellette de barre stabilisatrice se détache, elle pourrait se coincer entre la barre de direction et l'amortisseur avant, ce qui pourrait gripper le système de direction. Cela pourrait nuire au contrôle de la direction et augmenter les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'accessoire de biellette de barre stabilisatrice afin de vérifier la présence de la rondelle durcie entre la bague et l'écrou, ainsi qu'installer la rondelle si elle est absente.
