The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with the N52 6-cylinder engine, an electrical short could occur in the PCV valve heater due to manufacturing irregularities. If this occurs, the surrounding plastics could overheat, melt and potentially cause a fire, which could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the PCV valve heater.

Sur certains véhicules dotés d'un moteur 6 cylindres N52, un court-circuit pourrait se produire dans le dispositif de réchaud du module de ventilation du carter du moteur (PCV) en raison de problèmes de fabrication. Les pièces de plastique qui l'entourent pourraient surchauffer, fondre et provoquer un incendie, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures ou de dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le dispositif de chauffage du module de ventilation du carter du moteur (PCV).
