The issue
On certain vehicles, the reverse gear speed limiter may not meet design specifications and could allow the vehicle to travel at more than 25 km/h in reverse. If a driver were to steer abruptly while travelling above this speed, the vehicle could become unstable and a vehicle rollover may occur, creating a risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the engine control unit software to limit the speed while travelling in reverse.

Sur certains véhicules, le limitateur de vitesse en marche arrière pourrait ne pas respecter les spécifications de conception et permettre au véhicule de rouler à plus de 25 km/h en marche arrière. Si le conducteur changeait de direction abruptement pendant que le véhicule roule au-delà de cette vitesse, le véhicule pourrait devenir instable et capoter, ce qui pourrait blesser quelqu'un ou endommager des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront mettre à jour le logiciel de l'unité de commande du moteur pour limiter la vitesse de marche arrière.
