The issue
On certain vehicles built on a Freightliner XBS chassis, the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have a manufacturing defect that could cause intermittent functioning of the rear marker, brake lights or left turn signal. Without brake lights, a following motorist may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North American (DTNA) will inspect and repair the PDM as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules construits sur un châssis XBS Freightliner, le module de distribution de puissance (MDP) fixé à l'arrière pourrait comporter un défaut de fabrication qui pourrait causer le fonctionnement intermittent du feu de gabarit arrière, des feux de freinage ou du clignotant arrière gauche. Sans feu de freinage, les automobilistes se trouvant à l'arrière d'un véhicule visé pourraient ne pas réaliser qu'un véhicule situé devant eux est en train de freiner, ce qui augmente les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Daimler Trucks North American (DTNA) inspectera et réparera le MDP au besoin.
