The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the tie rod arm and steering arm bolts may be defective and could break. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Note: This recall only affects trucks built with a Detroit front axle. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the tie rod arm bolts and the steering arm bolts.

Problème : Sur certains camions, les écrous du bras de la biellette de direction et du bras de direction pourraient être défectueux et se briser. Si cela se produit, il pourrait y avoir une perte de contrôle de la direction. Remarque : Ce rappel concerne uniquement les camions fabriqués avec un essieu avant Detroit. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion à un centre de service agréé par DTNA pour remplacer les écrous du bras de biellette de direction et du bras de direction.
