Recall 2018518

The issue

On certain trucks, the steering shaft assembly may not have been installed correctly. This could cause a loss of connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels, resulting in a loss of steering control and creating the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facilities will inspect the steering shaft assembly and repair as necessary. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2018-386.

L'ensemble de l'arbre de direction de certains camions pourrait ne pas avoir été installé correctement, ce qui pourrait causer une perte de connexion entre le volant et les roues avant et donc de la maîtrise de la direction et augmenter les risques de collision causant des blessures ou des dommages matériels. Mesures correctives : Daimler Trucks North America doit inspecter l'ensemble de l'arbre de direction et le réparer au besoin. Remarque : Le présent rappel s’ajoute au rappel 2018-386.
