Recall 2018551

The issue

On certain trucks, the steering wheel may not have been installed correctly and could possibly detach from the steering column. This could cause a loss of connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels, resulting in a loss of steering control and creating the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facilities will inspect the installation of the steering wheel and repair as necessary.

Sur certains camions, le volant pourrait ne pas avoir été posé correctement et pourrait se détacher de la colonne de direction. Cela pourrait provoquer un détachement entre le volant et les roues avant, ce qui causerait une perte de contrôle de la direction et risquerait de causer un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Daimler Trucks North America devra inspecter la pose du volant et effectuer les réparations au besoin.
