The issue

On certain vehicles, the driver’s airbag could deploy without warning due to a problem with the steering wheel clockspring. An unintended airbag deployment could create a risk of injury to the driver and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facilities will inspect the clockspring and repair as necessary. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2019054 (Daimler recall FL-806). Sur certains véhicules, le coussin gonflable du conducteur pourrait se déployer subitement à cause d'un problème avec le contacteur annulaire du volant. Un déploiement subit du coussin gonflable pourrait créer un risque de blessures pour le conducteur et augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les installations d'entretien autorisées de Daimler Trucks North America devront inspecter le contacteur annulaire et le réparer au besoin.
