The issue

On certain vehicles, the bolts that join the steering and tie rod arm to the steering knuckle may not have been properly tightened. This could lead to a separation of the tie rod arm and cause a loss of steering control. This could create a risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facilities will inspect the steering and tie rod arm bolts to ensure they are torqued correctly and install new fasteners as necessary.

Dans certains véhicules, les boulons qui raccordent la direction et le bras de biellette de direction à la fusée d'essieu pourraient avoir été mal serrés. Par conséquent, le bras de biellette de direction pourrait se séparer, ce qui pourrait causer une perte de contrôle de la direction. Cela pourrait créer un risque d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les installations d'entretien autorisées de Daimler Trucks North America devront inspecter les boulons de la direction et du bras de biellette de direction afin de s'assurer qu'ils sont bien serrés, ainsi qu'installer des dispositifs de fixation neufs au besoin.
