The issue

Issue: Certain vehicles were shipped with the incorrect floor mat bracket. As a result, the floor mats may not be properly attached. A driver’s floor mat that moves could interfere with the accelerator or brake pedals. Safety Risk: A floor mat that interferes with the accelerator and/or the brake pedal could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Subaru will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the floor mat bracket. If the wrong part is installed, it will be replaced. Subaru recommends that you remove the driver’s floor mat until the recall repairs are performed.

Problème : Certains véhicules ont été expédiés avec le mauvais support de tapis de plancher. Par conséquent, les tapis de plancher pourraient ne pas être fixés adéquatement. Si le tapis du conducteur bouge, il pourrait nuire aux pédales d'accélérateur et de frein. Risque pour la sécurité : Un tapis de plancher qui nuit à la pédale d'accélérateur et/ou à la pédale de frein pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesure corrective : Subaru avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire inspecter le support de tapis de plancher. Si la mauvaise pièce est installée, elle sera remplacée. Subaru recommande de retirer le tapis de plancher du côté conducteur jusqu'à ce que les réparations dans le cadre du présent rappel aient été effectuées.
