The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the refrigerator compartment may not be properly sealed. This could lead to a build-up of carbon monoxide or propane gas inside the trailer. Safety Risk: A build-up of propane gas inside the trailer, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or explosion. Additionally, a build-up of carbon monoxide could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Gulf Stream will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, re-seal the refrigerator compartment.

Problème : Dans certaines caravanes, le compartiment de réfrigérateur pourrait être mal scellé. Cela pourrait entraîner une accumulation de monoxyde de carbone ou de gaz propane à l'intérieur de la caravane. Risque pour la sécurité : Une accumulation de gaz propane à l'intérieur de la caravane, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait causer un incendie ou une explosion. De plus, une accumulation de monoxyde de carbone pourrait provoquer une asphyxie ou une intoxication au monoxyde de carbone. Mesure corrective : Gulf Stream avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire afin de la faire inspecter. Au besoin, le compartiment de réfrigérateur sera scellé de nouveau.
