The issue
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the bracket that secures the auxiliary batteries (located inside the interior step compartment) could loosen over time. As a result, the bracket could move and make contact with the battery terminals. This could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the battery may become hot and may begin to smoke and/or create an odor. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: REV Recreation Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the battery hold-down fastening hardware.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, le support qui retient les batteries auxiliaires (situé à l'intérieur du compartiment intérieur pour les marches) pourrait se desserrer avec le temps. Par conséquent, le support pourrait se déplacer et entrer en contact avec les bornes de la batterie. Cela pourrait causer un court-circuit. Si cela se produit, la batterie peut devenir chaude et commencer à produire de la fumée et/ou créer une odeur. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : REV Recreation Group doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le dispositif de fixation qui retient la batterie.
