The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger-front airbag may not have been folded properly. As a result, the airbag may inflate with too much force in a crash where the airbag deploys. Safety Risk: An airbag that inflates with too much force could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger-front airbag.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le coussin gonflable avant du passager pourrait avoir été mal replié. Par conséquent, il pourrait se gonfler avec trop de force lors d'un accident où le coussin se déploie. Risques pour la sécurité : Un coussin gonflable qui se déploie avec trop de force pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : Volkswagen doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le coussin gonflable avant du passager.
