The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: The REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. If you smell propane gas inside your motorhome, you should evacuate and turn off the gas supply immediately.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes équipées d'une cuisinière au propane Dometic, il pourrait y avoir une odeur de propane après une courte période d'utilisation de la cuisinière. Si un utilisateur tente de serrer le boulon du régulateur de débit pour arrêter l'odeur, il pourrait trop serrer le boulon et endommager un joint. Cela pourrait donner lieu à une fuite de gaz constante. Risques pour la sécurité : Une fuite de gaz propane pourrait créer un risque d'incendie ou d'explosion. Mesures correctives : REV Group doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour remplacer les pièces défectueuses et effectuer un essai d'étanchéité. Si vous sentez une odeur de propane dans votre autocaravane, vous devez évacuer l'autocaravane et coupez l'alimentation en gaz immédiatement.
