The issue

Issue: On a small number of trucks equipped with air disc brakes and a certain steering arm configuration, a single brake caliper mounting bolt on the left side of the steering axle may not be properly tightened. Safety Risk: Reduced braking could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and replace the brake caliper bolts, as necessary.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de camions munis de freins à disque pneumatiques et d'une certaine configuration de bras de direction, un boulon de montage d'étrier de frein sur le côté gauche de l'essieu directeur pourrait être mal serré. Risques pour la sécurité : Une capacité de freinage réduite pourrait accroître la distance d'arrêt et créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion à un centre de service autorisé de DTNA pour inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer les boulons d'étriers de frein.
